About this Spot

One of the closest sport climbing spots to Funchal city center. Currently equipped with bolted routes (tiges/plaquetes) on a volcanic basalt wall. Vehicle access is somewhat limited as the base of the wall is on a road serving several houses — park before the access to the sector. A great after-work crag for Funchal residents or a quick session for tourists.

How to Get There

From Funchal, exit the 14 on the highway and turn right. After about 1 km, take a right just before "Restaurante Boa Vista" into Caminho de São Gonçalo. The wall base is accessed from a residential road — please be respectful and park before the access area.
