Fun + Learning on Every Tour

Every session starts from zero. You learn the knots, how to belay and how to move on rock — you leave knowing more than when you arrived.

Rock climbing in Madeira

Madeira is volcanic rock from the sea up: basalt walls, sea cliffs and gorges you can climb most of the year. We run two guided half days, one per level, on crags we climb ourselves every week.

Beginners climb the sea cliffs of Ponta de São Lourenço, on the eastern tip of the island. Never touched rock? That day is built for you. Already climbing 6a? The Intermediate day at Socorridos is yours.

We're the local climbing crew, not a booking platform. We live here, climb here and know both crags hold by hold, so a message to us gets an answer from the people who run the days.

Safety

Every climb is on a rope, and a guide checks harnesses, knots and belays before anyone leaves the ground. Groups stop at 8 per day, and the two levels never share a day.

Rock and weather decide the day. If conditions aren't safe we call it off and you choose: another date or a full refund. Free cancellation until 24 hours before.
