About this Spot

A beautiful coastal sport climbing crag located next to the lighthouse in Ribeira Brava. With 16 bolted routes on volcanic basalt, this is one of the most accessible crags on the island. The ocean views while climbing are spectacular. The short approach makes it perfect for families or quick sessions. Routes range from beginner-friendly to intermediate, making it an excellent warm-up spot.

How to Get There

From Funchal, go on the VR1 until Ribeira Brava, then head towards the sea and the east part until you see the lighthouse. The crag is right below. Park in the blue lines downtown (paid).
